Inspired by my grandfather, who is the only Asian American and Filipino in the US Navy to receive the US Congressional Medal of Honor, for his heroism during a boiler room explosion in the year 1915.

Michelle is the owner and lead designer for Rhy + Lia Designs. She started designing jewelry in 2004, as a hobby for creating personalized pieces of jewelry for friends and family. With a background in advertising, web, & graphic design her passion for making jewelry grew and became the sole direction for her career.
Her growing interest in jewelry design, eventually led her to land a position as an Assistant Jewelry Designer for a reputable company in California. 16 years later, Michelle is now the Chief Creative Officer.
When Michelle isn't designing jewelry, you can find her hanging out with her two beautiful daughters, Rhyla + Alia, her husband Mark, and her two dogs Boba and Bentley. She loves anything crafty, creative and yummy.
