WHAT MATERIALS ARE USED IN OUR JEWELRY?

Most of our jewelry is made with high quality 18k gold plated stainless steel. Our stainless steel pieces are hypoallergenic, non-tarnishing, waterproof, and designed for everyday wear.

We also carry select pieces made with 14k gold filled (USA made), 18k gold filled (Brazilian made), gold overlay, and sterling silver. Specific materials will always be listed in each product description.

WHAT IS GOLD FILLED JEWELRY?

Gold filled jewelry is made by bonding a thick layer of real gold to another metal using high heat and pressure.

Gold filled jewelry is much more durable than standard gold plated jewelry because the gold layer is significantly thicker and longer lasting.

Unlike traditional plated jewelry, gold filled jewelry will not easily rub off or discolor with proper care.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN USA MADE GOLD FILLED + BRAZILIAN GOLD FILLED?

The main difference is the amount of gold used.

• USA made 14k gold filled contains 5% real gold by total weight.

• Brazilian made 18k gold filled contains 3% real gold by total weight.

Both use the same heat bonded process, but Brazilian gold filled pieces are more delicate and may require additional care.

WHAT IS GOLD OVERLAY?

Gold overlay jewelry has a much thicker layer of gold than traditional gold plated jewelry — typically 5–7 times thicker.

This creates a more durable finish with excellent long-term wear when properly cared for.

DOES OUR JEWELRY CONTAIN NICKEL?

No. Our jewelry is nickel free and hypoallergenic.

Our gold plated stainless steel, gold filled, and gold overlay pieces are designed to be safe for sensitive skin. However, individual skin sensitivities can vary from person to person.

CAN OUR PIECES TARNISH?

Our 18k gold plated stainless steel jewelry is non-tarnishing and made for long-lasting wear.

Gold filled and gold overlay jewelry are also highly durable, but over time all jewelry can experience normal wear depending on exposure to chemicals, moisture, lotions, perfumes, sweat, and individual body chemistry.

With proper care, your jewelry can last for years.

Our 14k gold filled jewelry is extremely durable and can withstand years of regular wear.

Many customers wear their pieces daily through hand washing, showers, and everyday activities. However, over time pieces may naturally show signs of wear such as scratches or slight fading.
 

18K GOLD FILLED (BRAZILIAN MADE)

Our Brazilian 18k gold filled pieces are more delicate because they contain a thinner bonded layer of gold.

We recommend avoiding water, perfumes, lotions, and harsh chemicals to extend the life of these pieces.

GOLD OVERLAY

Gold overlay jewelry is more durable than standard gold plated jewelry due to its thicker gold layer.

To preserve the finish, we recommend removing gold overlay jewelry before swimming, showering, or sleeping and avoiding exposure to perfumes and lotions.
